As a part of Great Online Shopping Festival ( GOSF ), Google launched it's media streamer-Chromecast in India and made it available exclusively on Snapdeal for Rs. 2,999 (unofficially). Now Google officially made it available on Google PlayStore for the same price tag (Rs. 2,999).
Back in July 2013, Google announced the Chromecast to the market, for a surprise this $35 piece turned out to be a huge success in US. Google took sometime to launch the same media streamer in India, as in US it supports Netflix while in India, Google partnered with Eros Now, Spuul, YuppTv and Rdio to stream the content.
This one doesn't requires a remote to operate, Just connect the dongle to your TV and operate it with your smartphone, tablet or a laptop, like adjusting volume etc. It supports HDMI out and Wi-Fi 802.11 bg/n for connecting with devices.
