List of Smartphones and Tablets Launched For the Week Ending March 3 [MWC Special]

To swipe the entire spotlight at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013, several companies have launched their main devices of the year at the tech show.

The genre of devices that are launched is not only restricted smartphones and tablets, but also includes processors, headsets, weird gadgets and more. However, offering all the products under one roof is quite a tedious task.

Hence, Gizbot has come up with a different approach this weekend and is offering all the smartphone and tablet launches that happened in India and those that happened at MWC 2013 tech show with an increased possibility of coming to India.

Nokia Lumia 720

Based on Windows Phone 8, Lumia 720 sports a 4.3-inch Clear Black display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM , 8GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage, 6.7MP rear shooter with Carl Zeiss optics, 1.3MP front camera, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 2,000 mAh battery. It is estimated that the handset will makes its way into India soon with a price tag of Rs 18,000 approximately.

Nokia Lumia 520

Along with Lumia 720, Nokia also launched Lumia 520 with a 4-inch WVGA display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual core processor, 512MB RAM, 5MP rear camera, 8GB internal memory, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage, Windows Phone 8 OS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,430 mAh battery. The handset is estimated to be priced below Rs 10,000 approximately and to come in the Q2.

Nokia 301, Nokia 105

Nokia 301 runs on S40 platform and has a 2.4-inch display, 3G connectivity and 3.2MP camera with features including panorama mode and a 1,110 mAh Li-ion battery. It is a dual SIM handset and will be priced at Rs 4,500 approximately.

Nokia 105 is an entry level handset with 1.45 inch display and an 800 mAh Li-ion battery with 840 hours backup. The handset lacks camera and connectivity features. It is estimated to be priced at Rs 1,100 approximately.

LG Optimus F5 and F7

Optimus F5 comes with a 4.3 inch IPS LCD mulit-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz dual core processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, micro USB 2.0 and a 1,250 mAh Li-Ion battery.

At the same time, Optimus F7 comes with a 4.7 inch True HD IPS LCD mulit-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz dual core processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 8GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, micro USB 2.0 and a 2,540 mAh Li-Ion battery.

LG Optimus L3 2, L5 2 and L7 2

All the three new dual SIM variants - Optimus L3 2, Optimus L5 2 and Optimus L7 2 are based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and have dual SIM support.

Optimus L3 2 is a low-end handset boasting a 3.2-inch IPS LCD display with 240 x 320 pixel resolution, 1GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a-GPS and a 1,540 mAh battery.

LG Optimus L5 2 comes with a 4.0-inch WVGA display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 1GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and a 1,700mAh battery.

At the same time, Optimus L7 2 packs a 4.7 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual-core Cortex A5 processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and a 2,460 mAh battery.

LG Optimus Vu 2

The success of Optimus Vu - Optimus L7 2 packs a 5 inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz quad core Krait processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, NFC and a 2,150 mAh Li-Ion battery.

LG Optimus G Pro

Optimus G Pro is the successor of Optimus G and boasts a 5.5 inch True HD IPS+ LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 1.7GHz quad core Krait processor, 32GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage, 13MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, NFC and a 3,140 mAh battery.

Huawei Ascend P2

Ascend P2 features a 4.7 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and 312 ppi pixel density alongside Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. Further, the handset comes with a 1.5GHz quad core Huawei K3V2 processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 13MP rear camera with HDR, 1.3MP front camera for video calling, 16GB onboard storage, 1GB RAM, HSDPA, HSUPA, dual band Wi-Fi, LTE Cat 4, Bluetooth, NFC and a 2,420 mAh Li-ion battery.

Samsung Galaxy Note 510

Galaxy Note 8.0 known as Galaxy Note 510 in India features an 8 inch WXVGA capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 1.6GHz quad core A9 processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, S Pen support, Wi-Fi, optional 3G, 16/32GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage and a 4,600 mAh battery.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z

Xperia Z tablet packs a 10.1 inch Reality Display with a full HD screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 1.5GHz quad core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP Exynos R rear camera, 2MP front camera for video chatting, 16GB/32GB onboard storage, 2GB RAM, a micro SD card slot supporting expandable storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, LTE and a 6,000 mAh battery.

HP Slate 7
