Olympus is out with two new super zoom camera models SZ-15 and SZ-16 at CES 2013 which are the updated versions of their old SZ models. The camera functionality is enhanced with upgraded sensors and a lot more features to support long-distance optics. There is not much detailed information regarding the specs sheet of the cameras at present.
The SZ-16 features a CMOS sensor of 14-megapixel along with TruePic VI processor which is quite fast and efficient. This new model features 1080p video and a Starlight mode with multi shot support. This is the updated model of the SZ-12 camera with CCD sensor.
The SZ-15 camera model from Olympus features the 24X zoom functionality just like with the SZ-16 model. This camera features a CMOS imager of 16-megapixel adding to the quality of the pictures captured. There are certain interesting features like SR Zoom and Beauty Mode with this latest camera unlike its predecessor. The SZ-10 camera with CCD sensor of 14-megapixel was the preceding model in this same line.
Both SZ-15 and SZ-16 cameras from Olympus are all set to hit the shelves by the March of this year. There is only a slight price variation for these two new models put forward by Olympus at CES 2013.
Olympus SZ-15 can be purchased at a price of $200(Rs.11000 approx) whereas Olympus SZ-16 models at a price tag of $230(Rs.12700 approx) which is not so expensive considering similar products out in the market. More information concerning these interesting camera products will be made available to shutterbugs pretty soon.
