Panasonic, a known name in the imaging business, has unveiled its new selfie-cantered camera with flip screen. Dubbed as the Lumix DMC GF7, the new interchangeable lens camera come with 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH lens.
The premium camera offers a high-resolution 16MP micro four thirds Digital Live MOS sensor equivalent to that of a 24-64mm lens on a 35mm camera.
The Lumix DMC-GF7 has a 3-inch 1040K-dot touch monitor that flips 180 degrees. Flipping the LCD monitor up automatically activates ‘Self Shot Mode' which features a couple of hands-free options for taking shots.
"2014 was the year of the ‘Selfie' with the term mentioned more than 92 million times on Twitter. We expect this new feature for the GF7 to be a firm favorite with users. In addition, there are various functions to help you get beautiful shots of you and your friends. "Soft Skin" makes skin look smoother on selfies, "Defocusing" gives an attractive defocus effect around face and ‘Sliming Mode' sharpens the subjects face to appear slimmer, " the company said.
Being the latest model, the Lumix GF7 records in Full HD 1920 x 1080 50p videos in AVCHD or MP4 (MPEG-4 / H.264) format with stereo sound. The camera also supports 1080/24p native mode with 24 Mbps in AVCHD format. It also support Time Lapse Shot and Stop Motion Animation.

This mirror-less camera from Panasonic will be available in the US from February 20 onwards. It is priced at $599 and available as a kit with the G Vario 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH lens.
