Samsung Gear Fit Receives Official Price Cut: Now Available Online at Rs 12,100
Samsung first launched the Gear Fit, the hybrid fitness tracker, at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). Often touted as the "World's first wearable device with a curved display", the intelligent fitness tracker is so far the most good looking smart band. However, its Indian launch price was shown thumbs-down by many leading tech reviewers.
Today, Samsung has quietly slashed the price of the Gear Fit by a whooping Rs. 3,350. So starting today you can own the Gear Fit at Rs. 12,100, down from Rs. 15,450. The Samsung Galaxy Fit is now available at a reduced price from the company's official e-store.

The Samsung Gear Fit is undoubtedly the best-looking fitness band available in the Indian market. The device is a cross between a standard fitness band and a smart watch. The Gear Fit easily beats the Sony Smartband and the LG LifeBand Touch when it comes to the design. The Gear Fit features a 1.84-inch (432 x 128) curved Super AMOLED touch display.
The device weighs in at 27 grams and measures approximately 11.95mm in terms of thickness. Other than its sizzling design, the Gear Fit is IP67 certified, meaning it is completely dust-proof and can be submerged up to one meter depth for 30 minutes, like the Galaxy S5. It works with third-party applications. The Gear Fit also comes with built-in the heart rate monitor and a pedometer. The smart band draws energy from a 210mAh battery fitted inside.
Amusingly, the Samsung Gear 2 and the Gear 2 Neo, which were launched alongside the Gear Fit earlier this year, have seen no price cuts so far, despite negative reviews.
