Of late, Samsung has been hogging the lime light in the tech world. It recently launched its Galaxy Note 3 which features a massive 3GB RAM and out-of-the box comparability with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch in the global market.
Now, the company is hell bent on coming up with a smartphone featuring a flexible display. Even rivals like LG are also moving in the same direction after having announced smartphones with similar screen.
Samsung developing own version of Google Glass. We will see it (probably) around april-may under Gear Glass brand— Eldar Murtazin (@eldarmurtazin) October 7, 2013
Now moving in a same aggressive pace, Samsung is once again reported to come up with a new device similar to Google Glass. However, the reports suggests that the purported device would come under the Gear brand, dubbed as Gear Glass.
When it comes to availability of the device, a tweet from the Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin said that it would come around April or May next year. One can't fully rely on the information that has recently surfaced.
Although Murtazin is known for his inside sources within Nokia, his latest tweet regarding the Gear Glass might be something hard to believe. Perhaps, this could also be a rumor as well, thus for many tech savvy readers this news should be taken with a pinch of salt. At the moment, Samsung has not spoken or announced about its plans to expand into the wearable device segment beyond the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
There are already couple of handsets from Samsung that are said to be in-the-making, and the news of this additional project adds even more excitement into the mix of things. However, as far as the tweet is concerned, it could be referring to the initial phase of the Gear Glass. And if this rumor turns out to be true, Google Glass would have a new rival to face soon. Therefore, until we can unearth some solid facts pertaining to the aforementioned Gear Glass, nothing can be confirmed. Gizbot is looking forward to more leaks regarding the Gear Glass in the coming future.
