The rugged features on the various devices that make them water proof and dust proof, scratch proof and protected by Gorilla Glass not only attracts the lovers of adventure but also makes them realize that it actually works out with the sport.

Others are there which have great camera features that have more than 8 MP camera and are loaded with CMOS sensors and low light image shooting capability. This is better suited to the ones who like traveling and capturing moments with their camera. But most of all, this era belongs to internet and social media. Browsing and internet surfing is the daily chores for millions. Smartphones have now actually made this process of browsing and being connected on some online social media or website increase by thousand folds.

HTC One

HTC One, the most charismatic handset announced earlier this year, has been made available to Indian customers at approximately Rs 42,000. The HTC One packs a 4.7-inch 1080p Full HD display (468ppi), Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, Quad core processor (1.7GHz), 2GB of RAM, HTC Sense 5.0, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal memory, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, UltraPixel camera, 2.1-mega pixel camera on the front for video chat, 3G, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Beats sound, and a 2,300mAh battery fitted inside.

 

Xolo X910:

Lava Xolo X910 has been launched on Flipkart at Rs 9,999. The 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display handset packs 1.6 GHz Single-Core Intel Atom processor with 400 MHz GPU and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) platform similar to the other Xolo devices powered by a Intel Atom processor.

This device is backed by 1 GB RAM and houses the internal storage capacity of 4 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB via external microSD card. No details about the exact model of Intel chip yet. The smartphone would also support the dual-SIM. This phone is said to have a 5MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash and 0.3 MP front facing camera.

Micromax A111 Canvas Doodle:

Launched this week at Rs 12,999, Micromax A111 Canvas Doodle includes dual SIM support, a multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display, 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225Q processor, 8MP rear camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, VGA front camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage (of which only 1.22GB is user accessible), micro SD card slot with up to 32GB support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 2,100 mAh battery offering 6.5 hours of talk time and 220 hours of standby.

 

LG Nexus 4:

Finally Google branded LG manufactured Nexus 4 has made it to India at a price of Rs 25,000. Specswise, the LG manufactured Google Nexus 4 comes with the 4.7 inches and the resolution of WXGA 768 x 1280 pixels with the screen protected by Gorilla Glass 2. Further it holds, 16GB internal memory, lacks microsSD card slot, has Qualcomm SnapdragonTM S4 Pro Krait CPU, 2 GB RAM, Android OS, v4.2 (Jelly Bean) 8 MP primary camera, LED flash 1EA, 1.3 MP HD front facing camera for video call, GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz), 3G (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz), HSPA+ 42. and 2,100mAh battery.

 

Panasonic P51:

Panasonic has forayed in the India smartphone market with the latest launch of P51 - a decent handset when comes to its internal specifications at a prices of Rs 26900.

Packing a 5-inch IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels , a scratch resistant Asahi Dragontrail glass on the top, 1.2-GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM , 4GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB, Dual SIM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean , an 8-mega pixel rear facing camera with 1080p Full HD recording, 1.3-mega pixel front facing camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, and a 2,500mAh Li Ion battery fitted inside.

Spice Stellar Horizon Pro Mi-505:

Spice Stellar Horizon Pro features a 5 inch WVGA screen that offers 800 x 480 pixels resolution and has been made available online at Rs 8,499. It is powered by a dual-core processor clocked to 1GHz and is backed by 512MB RAM.

Further, the phablet runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) platform. The phone has internal storage capacity of 4GB and offers microSD support up to 32GB. The phablet houses 5MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 1.3MP camera is placed in the front for voice call. Regarding connectivity, the phone offers features like 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB. Measuring 9.6mm along the waist, this phone is powered by a 2,100mAh battery that is said to offer 4 hours of talk time.

Asus Taichi:

The Taiwanese tech giant has brought its quite innovative concept to the Indian market recently. The talk is about Asus Taichi - the combination of tablet cum notebook computer is unique to Windows 8 PCS.

The dual-screen ultrabook comes with Intel's latest Core i5 or i7 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB / 256GB of SSD storage. The display size measures 13.3-inches with resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels, and weighs 3.4 pounds. It can be used as both screens at the same time. The touch enabled screen can be twisted and tilted, as per your comfort. With two Full HD 13.3-inch screens placed back -to -back; it is indeed a great device. Zebronics Zebpad 7C and Zebpad 9C Tablet:

Zebronics has also entered the tablet market this week, with the launch of - Zebpad 7c and the Zebpad 9c, announced with the 7 inch and 9 inch display with 800x480 pixels resolution supporting a 5-point, capacitive touch-screen and priced at Rs 5,499.

The tablet is powered by a Cortex A8 processor dialed to 1GHz and a Mali-400MP 3D GPU for smooth video rendering. The tablets will initially run on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, but will soon be provided a Jelly Bean update.

Both the models bear a dual-camera with a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front facing shooter. It has an in-built Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and the capability to link up 3G network via external USB dongle, It is powered by 3200 mAH battery (a feature not found in other similarly priced tablets), which gives a long life to the tablet.

Micromax Canvas Music A88:

The Canvas Music A88, is the new phone by Micromax positioned at the music lovers.

The Canvas Music A88 has a 4.5-inch capactivie touch screen display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor clocked to 1.2 GHz and is backed by 512MB RAM, Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) platform, 5MP rear camera with Auto Focus and dual LED Flash and 0.3 MP front-facing camera for video calling, 4GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB with microSD, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and 1800 mAh battery which should offer a talk time of 5 hours. Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro:

A younger kin of Samsung Galaxy grand, the Galaxy Grand Quattro (GT-I8552) has entered the market recently at a market price of Rs 1,8260. Weighing at 143.9grams the newly launched mobile packs an 11.9cm (4.7-inch) display with resolution of 480 X 800 pixels, 1.2-GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 5-mega pixel rear camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash, VGA quality front facing camera, Dual -SIM, Wi-Fi, 3G and a 2,000mAh battery.

 

Zen Ultrafone 701HD:

At Rs 11,999, Zen Ultrafone 701HD is a nice 5 inch capacitive touchscreen that gives a screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The 8MP autofocus rear camera with BSI sensor along with a LED flash and the stunning 3.2 MP front facing camera adds yet another plus point to the device.

Zen Ultrafone 701HD phablet supports 3G, EDGE, WCDMA, GPRS, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0 with ADP and microUSB. The Ultrafone 701HD comes with a free flip cover and back cover. There's a 2000mAh battery powering the smartphone, which is rated to deliver 8 hours of talktime.

Spice Smart Flo Ivory Mi-450:

Smart Flo Ivory Mi-450 seem was also launched this week flavored with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and stuffed with a dual core processor. 

Further, Spice Smart Flo Ivory Mi-450 comes with a 4.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 854 x 480 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual core processor, dual SIM support, 3.2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, 2G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB, 512MB RAM, 512 MB internal memory, expandable memory with microSD and a 1,500 mAh battery. All at Rs 5,999.

Vertu TI:


Talking of specifications, With it's 3.7 inches Sapphire crystal glass capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with 252 ppi pixel density and a Scratch-resistant glass is claimed to be 4 times stronger than any other smart phones in terms of impact resistance. The stunning VERTU TI is cloaked in a Grade 5 titanium case which is around five times stronger than any other smart phones. Thus this hand-made device is unquestionably durable.

Oppo Find 5:


The camera features 13-megapixel rear camera sensor which enables the the smartphone to take great photos in low light conditions. Housing Stacked CMOS technology with with HDR, it features an f/2.2 aperture, 4-layer coating and blue glass filters. Further, this camera is capable of taking 100 photos at 5 per second with Burst Mode. The front facing camera has 1.9-megapixel. Rumored to be soon launched in India, the Oppo Find 5 series has a Qualcomm APQ8064 Quad-Core processor dialed to 1.5GHz with 2GB RAM. The smartphone supports 2G, 3G and Wi-Fi and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) platform with with custom UI and is backed up with a 2500 mAh built-in lithium-ion battery.
