Moreover, almost all the smartphones and tablets that have been launched fall under budget price points and are equipped with impressive specifications.

Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame

Samsung has launched Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame, that were rumored to come at MWC 2013 this week. Galaxy Young is build as an affordable handset packing 3.2-inch display with resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, a single core 1GHz processor, 3.0MP rear camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS and 1,300mAh battery. Further, the handset also supports dual SIM feature.

On the other hand, Galaxy Fame boasts a 3.5-inch display, 5MP rear camera, VGA front facing camera, 1GHz single core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 512MB RAM, Wi-Fi, 3G, 2G, A-GPS, optional NFC and a 1,300 mAh battery. Like Samsung Galaxy Young, Fame is also a dual SIM smartphone.

Jiayu G4

Jiayu G4 is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based handset will come with a 4.7 inch IPS panel with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, Gorilla Glass 2 protection, 1.2 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589 processor, 2GB RAM., 13MP rear camera with LED flash, a 3 megapixel front camera and a massive 3000 mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs 9,000 approximately in India offering a tough competition to the other budget smartphones.

Intex Aqua Wonder

Intex has also jumped to the bandwagon of making Jelly Bean smartphones by launching Aqua Wonder. The dual SIM handset has a 4.5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1GHz dual core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 512MB RAM, 2GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 8MP rear camera with dual flash, 1.3MP front camera for video calling, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and a 1,800 mAh battery delivering up to 3.5 hours talk time.

Priced at Rs 9,990, Intex Aqua Wonder comes with a free 4GB micro SD card bundled in the package, a carrying pouch and a screen guard.

Celkon A27

Celkon A27 comes with a 4.63 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution 480 x 853 pixels, 1GHz dual core processor, Android 4.0 ICS operating system, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting upto 32GB additional storage and a 1,800 mAh battery.

Priced at Rs 8,999 Celkon A27 comes with a free scratch guard and a flip cover to protect it from damages.

Lava Iris 351

Lava Iris 351 has been spotted online on different e-commerce sites at a price of Rs 3,899. Iris 351 has a 3.5 inch capacitive multi-touch display with 320 x 480 pixel resolution, single-core 1GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, 2MP rear camera, 512MB internal memory, 256MB RAM, micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 2G and a 1,300 mAh battery of undisclosed backup.

Spice Stellar Buddy Mi-315

Stellar Buddy Mi-315 flaunts a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display with an unknown resolution (speculated to be 320 x 240 pixels), Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, dual SIM support, 1GHz processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB internal storage, 2G, 3.2MP rear camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,400 mAh battery.

The handset has been spotted on online retailer sites for a price of Rs 3,490 making it reasonable in the budget conscious Indian market.

iBall Andi 4.5q

Andi 4.5q is the latest dual SIM built on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The handset has been listed on online retailer Infibeam.com at a price of Rs 11,490. Detailing on specs, Andi 4.5q has a 4.5-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and 245 ppi pixel density, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, micro SD card slot, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and a 2,050mAh battery.

Karbonn Smart A111

Karbonn Smart A111 has been spotted on online retailer Flipkart with a price tag of Rs 10,290. The handset features a 5 inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display, which could either boast a with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels or 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm Scorpion processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, micro USB, GPS, Bluetooth and a 2,100 mAh battery of unknown backup.

Byond B66

B66 comes with a 5-inch display and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512MB RAM, internal storage capacity of 4 GB, microSD slot, 8MP rear camera, 0.3MP front-facing camera for video calls, Wi-Fi, 3G, USB, Bluetooth, GPS and 2,600 mAh battery. The Byond B66 phablet is said to be priced at Rs11,499.

Lemon P100 Note

Lemon P100 Note boasts a 5 inch DVGA display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which can be upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera for video calls, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, micro-USB, microSD card slot and a 2,500 mAh battery. As of now, there is no information on the interal storage capacity of the handset, however, it could be around 4GB as the other budget phablet offerings.

HCL ME Y3, ME V1 and ME U2

HCL has launched three Android ICS tablets in India over this week - ME Y3, ME V1 and ME U2. All three are 7 inch tablets with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolultion. ME Y3 is a dual SIM tablet, ME V1 has a single SIM slot for voice calling and ME U2 has no SIM card slot for voice calling. The tablets are priced at Rs 11,999, Rs 7,999 and Rs 5,999 respectively.

Wickedleak Wammy Magnus

Wammy Magnus 10.1 sports a 10.1 inch IPS display with HD resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, 1.5GHz quad core processor, 8 core SGX544 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, micro SD card slot for expandable storage support up to 32GB, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (upgradeable to 4.2 Jelly Bean), 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G via dongle, mini USB port, mini HDMI port and an 8,000 mAh battery offering 6 to 7 hours backup and over 30 days standby.

Priced at Rs 15,499 and it can be ordered from the official Wickedleak website. Moreover, it is claimed that the device will be available for pre-order from February 10, 2013 and the shipping will commence on February 23, 2013.

Lava E-Tab Xtron

Lava's Jelly Bean based E-Tab Xtron flaunts 7 inch IPS multi-touch display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1.5GHz dual core processor, quad core GPU, 2MP front camera, 8GB internal storage of which 5GB is available to the users, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, 3G via dongle and a 3,500 mAh battery.

Launched with a price tag of 6,770, Etab Xtron has made its way to online retailer Flipkart at a price of Rs 6,499.

Wtab 705 Talk

Wtab 705 Talk sports a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen with a 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 1.5GHz Cortex A8 processor, Andriod 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, 2G SIM slot, HDMI port and a 3500 mAh battery. The tablet is priced at Rs 6,300.
