Microsoft Names 23 Games for Xbox One
This November, two of the biggest giants will shake up the gaming industry by launching their new consoles. Microsoft and Sony are gearing up to bring out the Xbox One and the Playstation 4 respectively, during the holiday season. While Sony has confirmed the launch date for its new console (Nov 29th in Europe and Nov 15th in US and Canada), Microsoft is yet to disclose an actual date, leaving fans with expectations of a late November launch. However, the makers of the Xbox One went on to unveil a launch lineup for Xbox One ahead of the Gamescom video game industry event in Germany.
The list includes 23 titles, all of which will be available when the Xbox makes its debut. Microsoft also added that it has at least 50 more titles in the works and that they will launch in the near future.
Call of Duty: Ghosts (Activision)
Crimson Dragon (Microsoft Studios)
Dead Rising 3 (Capcom)
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (Ubisoft)

Sony, on the other hand, has 33 titles up for grabs along with the launch of its console. Of these, many are exclusives built only for Play Station 4. Up until now, the Xbox might have conquered the US, but Play Station reigned supreme elsewhere. One of Sony's greatest advantages happens to be the FIFA franchise, a soccer game developed by EA Sports, which happens to be one of Europe's most popular titles. However, Microsoft has decided to take away that advantage by getting EA to make the upcoming FIFA 14 for the Xbox. It is also offering the game for free on console pre-orders in Europe, a deal which promises to be a runaway hit given the continents love for the sport. More over, the FIFA 14 versions for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 will feature some exclusive modes and offerings.
The Xbox One will retail at $499 since it comes with a Kinect system, while the PS4 will have a price tag of $399.
The upcoming holiday season will prove to be rather critical to the video game industry, as these two new consoles have the potential to provide the much required rise to sales,.
