Corsair Vengeance K60 Keyboard Review
GizBot received a Corsair Vengeance K60 keyboard to review for few days. The gaming keyboard which boasts a solid build, familiar key layout, and responsive Cherry MX Red mechanical key. Corsair Vengeance K60 keyboard looks stunning and let you perform the plug and play functionality with no extra software. It is portable to handle and the aluminum build gives you just enough flash without being too gaudy and making it a great gadget for home or office.
The keyboard is just meant for professional gamers and not for those who wish to work and play at the same time, as you would find it difficult to do your usual typing from the Vengeance K70 Gaming Keyboard.
On the other hand, for gamers the Cherry MX Red mechanical key switches provide fast, linear response and low-noise operation. Since the K70 is fully mechanical, you will get that response with any key you press. There's a full key matrix anti-ghosting mechanism for perfect signal quality, and the 20-key rollover ensures accuracy no matter how fast you play.
At the same time, to enhance the looks of K70, Corsair has integrated bright blue LEDs with adjustable brightness and key-by-key programmability to light up just the keys you need. It's great for illuminating your key bindings for each game, and you can store multiple presets. They're saved directly to the K70 onboard memory, so you can take your light maps with you.
Also, the K70 comes with media controls which is there on the right hand corner, so there are buttons that pause, stop, fast forward, etc. and there is a roller that adjusts the volume. So you don't just play games - you play music and video, too. Play, stop, pause, skip tracks and adjust volume directly from the K70.
At the same time, an extra USB connector is provided. It's great for attaching a Vengeance gaming mouse or headset. Basically, the K60 features increased performance with a 20-key rollover implementation on USB at a blazing fast 1ms (1000 reports per second) reporting rate.
Conclusion
The Corsair K60 keyboard performed without a hitch during my time using it as my primary keyboard. There's no software needed for install and every function was recognized upon plugging in the keyboard to my system using Windows 7 Ultimate. This is definitely a keyboard to recommend to your friends.
