Mad Catz launches modular gaming keyboard for Rs 16,784

Mad Catz, a well known gaming manufacturer has announced launch of its new keyboard. The gaming keyboard is titled ‘S.T.R.I.K.E 7’ which houses a five interlocking hardware modules covered with full metal chassis. All the five hardware modules are flexible enough to be assembled in various configurations.

The five interlocking hardware modules are mentioned below.

Main Keyboard

This hardware module is compact in its design with a membrane like structure. It is also capable of providing users with a feel of using a mechanical keyboard. Other key features of main keyboard include Inter-changeable WASD, Arrow Keys and Full RGB Backlighting.

Palm Rest and Numpad

This module is designed for providing users with utmost comfort. It is a three piece stand with provision to adjust height.

Key Features in Palm Rest include – Scroll Wheel, Action Button, Arrow Keys and Five Macro Buttons.

V.E.N.O.M Touch Screen

S.T.R.I.K.E 7 Gaming Keyboard is comprised of 24 programmable keys. It also offers customization features such as backlight tweaking, macros configuration and also plays the role of an app launcher.

However, the main drawback is the lack of USB connectivity ports.

Moreover the key board also features a Function Strip, which has four macro buttons. The gaming keyboard is implemented with integrated Team Speak functionality with Visual Identifier. This feature allows users to choose specific game rooms allowing them to check who is online and active.

This technology also allows users for controlling the volume of the chat while the game is being played. With this volume control feature, users need not pause and switch programs. Macro Programming is enhanced in the gaming keyboard with the implementation of user-friendly graphical user interface.

Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E Gaming keyboard is available for purchase at a price tag of around $300 (approximately Rs 16,789).
