If you have been looking ahead to owning a brand new Xbox 360 console but have been bowed down by the price of it, then here's some good news that you might be able to connect to.
Microsoft India, per an official press release, has announced a permanent price drop on two of its bestselling consoles - the 250GB Xbox 360 and the 250GB Xbox 360 with Kinect.
As revealed by the company, while the 250GB version of the Xbox 360 will now be available to customers at a discounted price of Rs 21,990 (from a previous price of Rs. 24,990), the 250GB Kinect will be available at Rs 31,990, which is again a discounted price from the previously listed Rs. 34,890.
Commenting on the price drop, Anshu Mor, Director - Interactive Entertainment Business, Microsoft India, said, "We are committed to offer great experiences to our consumers at compelling price points."
"This price drop on 250GB Sku's, coupled with our recently launched Xbox Live Gold Rush promo, will provide great value to our community of fans and gamers."
The price cut for the consoles is only normal at this point of time since the company is trying to clear stocks to make way for its next-generation Xbox One console. And the sooner it can clear out the old stock, the better for the company since it's already gearing up to go head to head against Sony and its new PlayStation 4.
The aforementioned consoles are currently available in the market with additional freebies (Free Games or Xbox Live Gold Membership).
