Nintendo, the popular video game hardware manufacturer has announced the launch of Nintendo Wii U home console on November 18 in North America. This date falls prior to the release of the product in the Japanese market.
Users in North America will be able to choose from two packages of the gaming console upon its release on November 18. The first one is a basic package and the second one is a premium package. The launch coincides with the holiday season which is expected to generate considerable sales for the company across the North American market.
The basic package of Nintendo Wii U gaming console consists of;
- A GamePad
- Two AC Adaptors
The premium package of Nintendo Wii U consists of features such as;
- Charging Stand
- More memory
- Two AC Adaptors
- Copy of NintendoLand Mini-Game Connection
The copy of Nintendo Land and mini-game connection is designed in such a way that users can witness full capabilities of the latest gaming console.
The presence of HDMI high speed cable gives enhanced video output. The Wii U GamePad will use a touchscreen controller. The company has also announced the release of new features such as ‘Nintendo TVii’. This service allows users to watch movies, TV shows and sports controlled by GamePad which acts as a remote controller.
Nintendo Wii U basic version will cost $299.99 (approximately Rs. 17,000) and the premium version will cost $349.99 (approximately Rs. 19,000). Company has also announced the list of games which will be made available with the Wii U up on its launch. The game list includes ‘New Super Mario Bros. U’, ‘Lego City: Undercover’ and ‘Nintendo Land’. But there is no information regarding the pricing of the gaming titles.
