PlayStation TV Now Out in India, Priced at Rs 9,990
PlayStation TV, the tiny micro-console that enables gamers to play their PS4 games via remote play, is now available in India. Sony's PlayStation TV will be made available in the form of a packaged bundle, which includes the main console, a DualShock 3 controller, an 8GB memory card, and four digital games. Currently, it is available for Rs. 9,990 through Flipkart and Amazon respectively.
Originally, Sony made the decision to introduce the PlayStation TV into India for Rs. 12,990. The same PS TV bundle is now selling for Rs. 9,990 and "not at the earlier mentioned price", informs Sony.
The PlayStation TV launched in Japan as PS Vita TV in November 2013 and in North America on October 14, 2014.
What is PlayStation TV?
PlayStation TV is a tiny set-top-box based on Sony's flagship portable gaming console - the PlayStation Vita. It simply plugs into a TV and offers access to compatible Vita, PSP and PSOne games through the PlayStation Store. The small micro-console also allows gamers to play PlayStation 4 games on a second screen. In addition, PS TV now support Sony's game-streaming service, PlayStation Now.

PlayStation TV - Specifications
The PlayStation TV itself has identical specs compared to the PS Vita. The device is powered by a quad-core processor, 1GB of native storage and supports video output of 720p or 1080i. As usual, it supports Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11n. It also supports both DualShock 3 and 4 PlayStation controllers. On the connectivity front, the PS TV comes with Ethernet, HDMI and Sony's proprietary Vita memory card slot.
PlayStation TV - Interface and Games
The PlayStation TV has the exact same interface as the PlayStation Vita, which was originally designed for use with touch screens. However, it should be noted that but certain control aspects are clearly made for touch controls and not buttons. Sony released the full list of PS TV compatible games, back in September. Titles like Tearway can't be played on the big screen.
