Sony is enjoying its first mover advantage when it comes to the announcement of PlayStation 4(PS4), over Microsoft guys. Well, who don’t want to own a PlayStation 4? Although, the company didn’t gave same valid answers in relation to the PS4, but surely Sony has something spectacular stored for gamers at E3 gaming conference.
Sony India, has finally announced the much awaited addition to the PlayStation 3. What? The Japanese giant has added three new glossy colours in the existing PS3 range. Until now, Japan was destined to get all broad range of colours to choose from. But this time, it’s a different game all together. The official press release says that Sony will introduce three new colour variants; Classic White, Garnet Red and Azurite Red in the market soon. Aren’t you excited with this news?
Do not expect the same treatment applicable, if you buy 12GB version of the PS3. These candy floss variants are limited to the high –end version i.e. 500GB version of the PS3. The package contains shiny PS3 base console, two DualShock controllers, and sells for Rs.23, 490. However, Sony hasn’t come out with the limited God of War: Ascension Red bundle for Indian gamers.
On March 13, 2013, Sony will announce its highly anticipated game called God of War: Ascension on the PlayStation 3. It is the return of the mighty Kratos in the gaming scene. The PlayStation 3 is the seventh generation console. It is the successor to highly successful PlayStation 2. PS4 succeeds the current generation - PlayStation 3. In India, PlayStation is the most preferred gaming console. Due to the larger retail support and with some local developers support as well, Sony leads Indian gaming market. Internationally, PlayStation 3 battles tough with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
Earlier this year Sony said that the company managed to sold as many as 77 million consoles till date. In 2007, Sony launched PS3 at whooping Rs.39, 900, in the Indian market. With the release date of the next- gen console – PlayStation 4 is still far away, a lot depends upon the performance of the PS3. Some of the expected titles that are coming your way include: Grand Theft Auto 5, The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, BioShock Infinite, and Battlefield 4 among others.
The internet is buzzed with news of Polyphony Digital ‘Gran Turismo 6 ‘is on a way soon. Expect lot of new games to be announced at this year’s E3 gaming conference, slated to happen in June 2013.
