Terraria Coming To PlayStation Vita, iOS, Android And Windows Phone 8 Very Soon
Back in 2011, Independent game studio Re-Logic released it' action-adventure/RPG Terraria to PCs on May 16. The game with it's classic exploration and adventure style of gameplay, combined with unique features such as NPCs - "who can be influenced, occurrence random events", made it very popular. Terraria sold over 50,000 copies during its first day of release and over 200,000 copies in the course of the week.
The game was eventually made available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation in late March of 2013, along with exclusive content. In a recent announcement the company has said the title will be made available for PlayStation Vita, iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 in the coming months.
Terraria for mobile platforms will support leader boards, achievements and Facebook integration so you can share screenshots of your adventures and creations. Terraria for mobile is being developed by Dutch, independent-gaming studio Codeglue, the team behind the Xbox Live Arcade and mobile versions of Rocket Riot.
Players will discover more than a dozen environments and face treacherous perils including over a hundred twisted foes, magical creatures and villainous bosses. The controls have been completely redesigned for touch screens and every aspect of the game has been tweaked and balanced to give players the perfect on the go Terraria experience.
The Gaming studio has not confirmed the release date of the game for PlayStation Vita or mobile.
