Stop WhatsApp Images Appearing In Gallery
If you get lots of stupid pictures on WhatsApp, and if you don't want them to appear in your gallery. Here is a tip for you. Download and install file explorer, such as ES File Explorer from the Google Play Store.
Now, open app and navigate to sdcards/WhatsApp/Media and WhatsApp Images. Create new folder and rename .nomedia.
Switch your WhatsApp chat history between phones
WhatsApp has introduced a new features to backup all your chats on Google Drive. If you have not not received the update that allows Google Drive backup on WhatsApp. You can easily restore all your chat history while switching your phone.
Go to WhatsApp >> Settings >> Chats and calls >> Backup chats.
Remove SD card and place it into your new device.
Now install WhatsApp on the new device. That's it, now all your chats are moved to the new device.
Hide Last Seen, Profile Photo and Status
If you want to hide last seen, profile photo and status for making your appearance privacy. Here is a tip for you.
Go to Settings >> Account >> Privacy.
Go through the Last Seen, Profile Photo, and Status Options and select depending on how much privacy you want.
Create a home screen shortcut for your favorite chats
If you have certain friends with whom you have constantly chat, then you can create a shortcut icon to those conversations on home screen.
Tap and hold the conversation, which you want to create a shortcut.
You'll get a list of options and tap on Add Conversation Shortcut.
Recover deleted messages
By default, WhatsApp backup all your messages every day at 4am. To recover your deleted messages, here is a tip.
Uninstall the WhatsApp from your device
Reinstall the WhatsApp
Setup your WhatsApp, if it notify that, a backup of your chats, tap on Restore to get your deleted messages back.
