Apple Rolls Out iOS 9: How To Prepare Your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch
Apple announced its latest iOS 9 with major improvements and new features at WWDC 2015. The new iOS 9 runs on iPhone, iPad Touch and iPad lineups. The updates refines the company's vision of mobile computing.

Apple has also launched its next generation iPhone6S just a week back with lots of innovative features over its predecessor and will be running on the latest iOS 9.
Well, the public beta of iOS 9 is available for the past few months, Apple has planed to make it publicly available starting today. Compatibility
Apple devices that are capable of running iOS 8 are compatible to update the latest iOS 9. You can check the version of iOS on your device by navigating to Settings >> General and tab on About to check the iOS version.
Backup Data
Back up all important data and settings of the device using iCloud or iTunes.
Maintenance
The update will be rolled out starting today, and you might get the update anytime. Free up the precious storage space on your iOS device by uninstalling unused apps and deleting unused files.
Restore
If you have made a backup of all the data on iTunes, then you can peacefully update to the iOS 9 and later you can restore directly from the iOS.
Bugs
Well, the new software comes with bugs that has to be fixed. So if you do not want any issues with the iOS 9, than wait for few more days until Apple fixes any issues found on iOS 9 public release.
