You can check the Pokémon Go service status page to know how the servers are actually performing.
“GPS signal not found” error pops up
Pokémon Go uses GPS to track your movement and the app must have a connection to the GPS features in your smartphone to know where you are. Sometimes, the game might show "GPS signal not found" error before it gets connected. If you get this message, ensure that the location settings on your handset are turned on.
Pokémon Go doesn't open
If the Pokémon Go app doesn't open, you can try restarting the smartphone and then open the app. Even then, if the app is not opening, there could be server issues. In case, the services are fine, then you must have to update the app. If you are still facing the same issue, you must save the data to the cloud and uninstall and reinstall Pokémon Go. Relaunch the app and it should work fine without losing the progress.
Pokémon Go displays a spinning Pokéball
In case you see a spinning Pokéball at the top left corner of the app, them it indicates that the app is trying to reach the Pokémon Go servers.
Incense and Lure Modules fail to work
If Incense or Lure Modules fail to work, you need to try adjusting the smartphone's time to the network time. It is the time that your mobile network sets and so it will help fix the issue with the Lure Modules and Incense.
Pokémon trainer doesn't move
As you walk about, the Pokémon trainer should move around the map, but at times you might find that the trainer is stuck and simply walk on the same spot. In case the Pokémon trainer does not move, you cannot open any menu option. This points out that the app has crashed and you need to restart the same.
Pokémon Go freezes when you try catching a Pokémon
Sometimes, Pokémon Go might freeze when you try catching a Pokémon. This could be frustrating if you are trying to catch one after a long time. In case the app is not responding, you can open any menu and the Pokéball you have thrown will stop spinning. You can turn off and turn on the data connection to check if it is working fine. If it doesn't help, you need to restart the app.
