How to post only selected tweets to Facebook?
For a user who is active on both Twitter as well as Facebook, it is for sure that they will be aware of the efforts that has to be taken to keep both of the feeds updated. But now there is a solution for posting only selected tweets to Facebook. And the service is called ‘Selective Twitter’. Facebook is considered to be one of the most popular social networking sites in the world.
Selective Twitter can be considered as an amazing service which allows the users to pick only the selected tweets that will be posted on the users Facebook account.
Users will have to follow the below mentioned steps for setting up the selected tweets;
Users will have to visit the Facebook app page for the Selective Twitter
Then the users will have to sign in to their corresponding Facebook account by giving the login credentials
Users will now be prompted by a message ‘Turn off Secure Browsing?’
After turning off, click on the ‘Continue’ button present in this prompted message
Log out from Facebook
Log in back to Facebook
This is done to force the users Facebook account back in to an https connection
Now the users will be welcomed by a Selective Twitter screen
Just enter the Twitter username
Finally click on ‘Save’
It has to be noted that the Twitter account should be set to public search since setting up of Twitter account to private will result in Selective Twitter not working
After selecting the ‘Save’ button, users will now be prompted by a dialog asking whether to ‘Allow’ or ‘Don’t Allow’ Selective Twitter to access the user’s Facebook account
Click the ‘Allow’ button
Now the users will be welcomed by a confirmation message that says that the user’s Twitter account was successfully linked to the user’s Facebook account
It has to be noted that the users can make use of the ‘Settings’ tab as well as ‘Your Fan Pages’ by setting up another Twitter account
For any additional information, users can click the ‘Help’ button
All these options are present at the top of the Selective Tweet page
That’s it! The set up has been successfully done. Now the users can send a Tweet that they wish to appear as Facebook Status Update by means of including a ‘Hash tag’ at the end of the Tweet. Now the users can see that Selective Twitter will pick up the tweet with a hash tag at the end and then place it in the user’s Facebook Status.
