While the entire world is going crazy with the release and official push-out of the brand new Android Lollipop, the initial release of the update hasn't been that successful with reports of bugs and problems arising for the Nexus owners.
The Nexus line of phones are quite special among all others. These are official Google products that have the first-hand assurance of getting the first updates from Google. Last year's LG-made Nexus 5 claimed a number of users and the same is expected with this year's Motorola-made Nexus 6.
But in case you own one of the previous Nexuses and facing issues after updating your phone with the latest OS, here are a few fixes to help you out.
Fix Wi-Fi Problem for Android 5.0
There are numerous reports flowing in about apparent problems with the Wi-fi after updating to the latest Android Lollipop. And these problems are of varied sorts. If you are facing any of these, you could try rebooting your phone or tablet and even rebooting the Wi-Fi router to which is connected of trying to establish a connection. You could even set it up once more by tapping on 'Forget network' and select the network once more.
Fix Battery Life Problem for Android 5.0
With the new update from Google now in place, a host of users are also complaining that the battery is draining out faster than usual. Although that's a bit ironical since one of the main features of Lollipop is to save your battery life. Nonetheless, you could start by disabling all the power-consuming apps running in the background, if you don't use them frequently. You could even try rebooting your phone with it on minimal settings with all third-party apps uninstalled.
Fix Video Playback Problem for Android 5.0
There are problems that the Nexus, after the update, are facing with the video playbacks on the handsets. To fix this issue you could try clearing the cache files from Settings -- Apps -- Choose the app -- Clear Cache. You could even try enabling or disabling NuPlayer through developer settings.
Fix 3G Data Problem for Android 5.0
The cellular data on Nexus phones after the update have also faced a lot of problems. But there are fixes to help you out. You could try switching off the cellular or 3G or LTE data from settings and then turn it on again. And if there are issues, you could always reboot the phone.
Fix Bluetooth Problem for Android 5.0
The Bluetooth is also another sector where the problems are dominant for the Nexus devices. As a simple fix you could try switching off the Bluetooth on your phone and then turning it back on. Also try clearing the cache files for Bluetooth Share.
