5 Insanely Cool Things You Can Do With the Motorola Moto Z Play [Tips and Tricks]
These 5 tips can certainly be very useful in your day to day life.
Motorola, taking design cues from the LG G5 (the first smartphone with customisable hardware), has unveiled two modular smartphones, the Moto Z and Moto Z Play in India last month.
The company has first showcased the Moto Z along with the Moto Z Force at the Lenovo Tech World event held in June 2016. After which, at the IFA 2016, the Lenovo-owned company has added the more affordable Moto Z Play to its Z series of smartphones.

The USP of all the three smartphones is the Moto Mods. However, there is more to these smartphones other than the customisable hardware. And that's exactly what we are going to talk about today.

Given the fact that Moto Z Force is not available in India, we will focus on the Moto Z Play and the more premium Moto Z. Going forward, we will use Moto Z Play as the reference smartphone but all the tricks mentioned below can be made use of on its bigger sibling as well.
Let's get this straight out of the way, the Moto Z Play, at 5.5-inch in size, is a huge smartphone (although it's a norm these days) and one-handed usage can be quite cumbersome. Keeping this in mind, the company has included a smart gesture which allows you to shrink the screen just by a single swipe for a better single-handed usage. Head straight to the Moto app preloaded on your smartphone and click on Actions > Swipe to shrink screen and enable it. A tutorial will also be given to help those who don't know how to use this gesture. Using your smartphone's fingerprint scanner to unlock the device is pretty commonplace these days, but what if you can lock the device just by placing your finger on the scanner? Well, you can do just that with the Moto Z Play. All you have to do is just place your finger on the scanner to lock it. This trick is for the shutterbugs. In order to quickly launch the camera app irrespective of the screen or app you are using currently, double tap the power button and boom, start capturing images. You can thank us later, go capture some images! Another nifty feature in the Moto Z Play is the ability to switch between front and back cameras without the need of moving your fingers. All you have to do is double twist the smartphone while you are in the app to switch from one camera to the other. To enable this feature, go to Actions in the Moto app and Twist for Quick Capture option. How often do you use the flashlight on your smartphone ? If very frequently is the answer to it, there's a nifty feature for you hidden under the Actions in Moto app. This feature allows you to turn on-off the flashlight just by making a chopping motion twice.Shrink your screen
