BSNL OFFERS: Here’s How to Get 1 GB Plan & Free Unlimited Calls in less than 1 Rupee
As the telecom giants like Bharti Airtel or Vodafone are pulling their socks to stay at par with Jio's unlimited data plan, the Indian state-owned telecommunications company, BSNL doesn't seem to be quite far behind.
Matching up to the unlimited Reliance Jio data plan, the other incumbent telecom rivals in the market have recently come up with several cost effect data plans for their users. However, the most talked about among all the newly launched plans is BSNL's BB 249 plan, an unlimited broadband plan for 3G users at just Rs 249.

To stay equivalent in the race with Reliance Jio, BSNL launched its equally cost-effective plan, 'Unlimited Experience BB 249' plan for its broadband users. As a strategy to popularize this new data plan, BSNL will be offering free installation for the new customers from September 9 until October 31. In case you still haven't subscribed to the new broadband plan by BSNL, and paying a lump sum amount for your broadband service at the end every month, here's a golden opportunity for you to use 1GB data for just Re 1.

Unlike the Reliance Jio, it's extremely simple to subscribe to the BB 249 plan. This is how you can go about in getting the 'Unlimited Experience BB 249 plan'.
- The new users who are keen on getting the BB 249 plan are just required to simply reach up to their nearest BSNL.
- Submit their required personal identification documents including-Adhar card, PAN card, Voter ID proof and a few latest passport size photos. Make sure you carry both photocopy as well as the original documents to avoid any hassle.
- After submitting the required documents all you need to do is pay Rs. 249 with which you can enjoy a smooth data service for the next 6 months.

BB 249 plan vs Reliance Jio
After getting the BB 249, the consumers can experience a reliable speed up to 2Mbps at a very cost effective manner. Unlike Jio's Rs 50/GB offer, BSNL's BB 249 plan will have no speed or data cap, as the user can experience a comparatively decent internet speed at as low as Re 1/GB. However, there's a catch, users subscribing to the new BSNL plan you are required to use the entire 300GB data to enjoy the plan efficiently.

BSNL is offering this unlimited plan only for six months, after which the consumers will be migrated to the BBG Combo ULD 499 plan/month. The BB 249 plan will also offer unlimited free voice calls between 9pm to 7am on all Sundays across any network in India. As per international calls, the new plan will charge Re. 1/3 minutes for all BSNL network outgoing calls, and Rs. 1.2/3 minutes for rest of network calls.
