Step 1: Download, Install, and Run VLC Media Player

To download a video from the VLC media player, one needs to download, install, and run the latest version of VLC media player on your device.

STEP 2: Select Open Network Stream

Click on the Media present on the  VLC media's menu bar, and select Open Network Stream, you will see a text box will appear.

STEP 3: Enter the YouTube Link

Enter the YouTube video URL in the text box that you wish to download and click on the play option.

Step 4: Select Media Information Tab

It will take a few seconds for the video to start playing, then click on Tools from the menu bar and select Media Information option. There will appear a dialog box, enter the video link that has to be downloaded in place of the Location value.

STEP 5: Download the Video Now

Copy and paste the Location value in any web browser. Let the video play, click and select Save video as from the context menu to save the YouTube video to your device.
