Mukesh Ambani, at the company Annual Grand meeting, announced the service to the general public on September 1 and said that every user will be able to get their own Jio SIM card from September 5.

True to his words, some of the Reliance Digital stores all over the country issued the SIM cards to everyone, but the stock was limited at many stores and as a result, several customers were disappointed.

After the official announcement, there was some news popped online that Reliance has reportedly expanded the welcome offer to their Lyf smartphones till December 2017, however, they will only offer unlimited data, but not Jio apps and SMS.

Step 1: Your Smartphone Should be Rooted

Before beginning the process, make sure that your Android smartphone is rooted. Without a rooted smartphone, this trick won't work at all. And, there is no joy for iPhone users as well.

Step 2: Install Xposed Installer and IMEI Changer App

In this step, you need to download an app called ‘Xposed Installer', which can be easily installed on Android 4.4 KitKat devices, but Lollipop and Marshmallow users need to flash a file from recovery to get it installed.

After installing the Xposed framework, you need to download an app called ‘Xposed IMEI Changer' which is available for free from Google Play Store.

Step 3: Enable IMEI Changer and Reboot Your Smartphone

After installing both the applications, you need to enable the IMEI changer module in the Xposed installer and reboot your smartphone. You must reboot your smartphone to get the trick working.

Step 4: Change the IMEI Number of Your Smartphone

In this step, you need to change your smartphone's IMEI number to that of any Lyf phone's IMEI number. You can easily get any Lyf phone's IMEI number by visiting your nearest Reliance Digital store. Step 5: Download ‘MyJio’ App

Once after changing the IMEI number, download the ‘MyJio' app from Google Play Store for free and open it. After that, hit ‘Install All' button to install all the Jio apps on your smartphone. This step is mandatory as all Lyf smartphones arrive with all the Jio apps installed.

Step 6: Reboot Your Smartphone Again

After installing all the apps, just reboot your smartphone.

Now, you need to open ‘MyJio' app after your smartphone finishes rebooting. Just hit the ‘Skip Sign in' button and let the process continue. This might take a while.
