Phone Doesn't Have Support for VoLTE
This is one of the major problems faced by many people over the country. This is not Reliance Jio's problem, this is your smartphone's problem. In order to make calls with Jio SIM card, your smartphone should have support for VoLTE. Having just LTE support doesn't help in making calls. While LTE is just enough for data, its not sufficient to make voice calls.
Now, the major question which arises is what is VoLTE? It is a feature which allows voice calls through mobile data and for that your mobile data needs to be turned on all the time for making voice calls.
What's the Solution if there is no VoLTE
Yes, Reliance has a solution to this issue of not having VoLTE support. You have to download Jio4GVoice app which was formerly known as JioJoin. Just download the application from Google Play Store and setup. Now, you will be able to make calls from your Jio SIM card and the application even has support for HD video calls.
Data Should be Turned On
Another problem is your calls will be connected when the mobile data is turned on, however, the calls won't be connected when the mobile data is turned off. Keep the data connection always turned on for making calls via Jio SIM card.
Tele-Verification for Calls Hasn't Done Yet
This is a little tricky part. Reliance has separate tele-verifications for both calls and data. Always call 1977 for your tele-verification as it verifies your details for both calls and data.
Network Busy Issue
As we all know that things are heated up with Reliance Jio and other telecom networks. If you face a network busy related issue, it will because of the other telecom network has blocked you from calling them. There is nothing to do with the issue except to wait for other telecoms services to accept calls from Reliance Jio.
