Reliance Jio has been in the limelight for a better part of month, however, the telecom network isn't done yet. The 'Welcome Offer' from the new company is heavily attracting the customers all over India.
To recall, Mukesh Ambani, at the company's annual grand meeting earlier this month announced the service to general public. Before the official rollout, the network was available as 'Preview Offer' to selected customers and at that point of time, they used to get insane download speeds, which is understandable as there was less load on the servers.
Once the official rollout started, several people got their hands on the Jio SIM card and as a result, the network speeds was drastically decreased. We have been receiving a good amount of queries from our users on how to increase the Jio download speed and here is one of the methods.
Step 1: Check Your Smartphone Supports 4G or Not
Step 2: Head over to Mobile Networks Under Settings
After ensuring that your smartphone is 4G enabled, you need to head over the mobile internet settings under the 'Settings' menu.
Step 3: Change APN Settings
Now, all you need to do is to change the APN settings in your smartphone as follows.
Name - Jio
APN - jionet
APN Type - Default
Proxy - Not Set
Port - Not Set
Username - Not Set
Password - Not Set
Server - www.google.com
MMSC - Not Set
MMS proxy - Not Set
MMS port - Not Set
MCC - 405
MNC - 857 or 863 or 874
Authentication type - Not Set
APN Protocol - Ipv4/Ipv6
Step 4: Reboot Your Smartphone
After changing the APN settings, just reboot your smartphone once, because you won't be able to receive network signals due to the change in MNC settings.
Step 5: Change MNC if You Don't Get Good Speeds
Now, as you can see above, there are there MNC settings to choose from and if one doesn't work out for you, then choose the other one for better download speeds.
