Shenzhen-headquartered mobile maker OnePlus has launched its new smartphone dubbed as OnePlus X, at a compelling price, starting from Rs. 16,999.

The so-called OnePlus X is launched in two variant -- Onyx (Rs. 16,999) and Ceramic (Rs. 22,999). As per the official report, only 10,000 units of the OnePlus X Ceramics to be sold as it is a limited edition.

The company claims that the name "X" represents the 'experiment' in building something powerful and beautiful for the design-conscious crowd.

Moving on to the specs, the OnePlus X comes packed with 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, with an expandable option up to 128GB, Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) based Oxygen OS 2.1 out of the box. Other specification includes 13MP/8MP camera package, 4G LTE, GPS and powered by a 2525mAh built-in battery.

If you want to take screenshot, you can opt either one of these two ways.

  • Press the volume down button along with the power key together to capture a screenshot.
  • Press the power button firmly until the power window appears. Now tap on the screenshot option to capture a screenshot on your device.

When it comes to Android smartphones, the external apps can be installed only by enabling 'Unknown sources' option on the device. To install the external apps, go to Settings → Security → Tap Unknown sources → click ok

With Android 5.0 Lollipop OS comes the Screen pinning feature. To use this feature, go to Settings →Security → Screen Pinning (at the bottom) →Tap on the button to enable this option. Now press the over view button and select the apps that you want to pin on your screen.

Nowadays, most of the smartphones come with Gesture Option to access the features in a single tap. Some options include double tap to wake up, Open camera, Toggle flash light, and Music control.

To make use of Gesture option go to Settings → Gestures → Tap the button to enable the option. Check-in the box to enable the features.

All you need to do is head on to Settings -> About Phone and then tap on "Build Number" seven times.
