A Simple Trick to Avoid Additional Delivery Charges on Amazon
It's an open fact that Amazon charges an extra amount of Rs. 40 as shipping charges for delivering your product if the final order amount is below Rs. 499.
But is there a way you can skip this additional charge, you ask? Well, there's no way to completely omit the charge, but you can save at least some part of it.

Here's how you can save yourselves from paying the additional shipping charges while ordering a product below Rs. 499.
Select a product you intend to buy
To use this trick, as usual, first select a product you intend to buy and add it to the cart. Once you add it to the cart, if the product is below Rs. 499, you'll be asked to pay an additional charge of Rs. 40 for the delivery services.

Add an Amazon Fulfilled product
To avoid the extra charge, add an Amazon Fulfilled product. It can be a simple Current Affair book, a beauty product, or a soap or whatever you need (which costs around Rs. 20). Since Amazon is offering a free delivery on its fulfilled products the extra charges for delivery will be omitted.
Make sure to add Amazon Fulfilled product only
You have to make sure that you are adding the Amazon Fulfilled product only. This hack won't work otherwise, meaning if you add any other product other than an Amazon-fulfilled product, you will have to pay extra Rs. 40.
Note: Do make a note that Amazon may lift the free delivery option on books and beauty products anytime. As a result, this hack may not be applicable if the free delivery option is removed.
