3 Quick Ways to Turn Off Your Laptop/PC Screen [Windows]
While PC users have the luxury to simply turn off their screens with a click of a button, many Laptops doesn't provide this functionality. And turning it off and back on every single time we take those quick coffee-breaks sounds like a lot of physical intervention.
So, we have come up with a few tricks which will help you turn off your Laptop/PC screen in the quickest way possible and yes, less physical intervention.

Do it the old way
You can simply choose to turn off your Laptop/PC's display when it's left idle for a particular amount of time.
To do this, open PC settings > PC and devices > Power and Sleep > Set time (on the right side).
You can choose your screen to turn off automatically after it's been idle for 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes, and 30 minutes.

However, there is one problem with this method. For example, when you are trying to read an article online and the screen is idle for a while, it's automatically turned off. So we suggest you to use the below methods.

Use Turn Off LCD
Download Turn Off LCD. It's a small computer program which turns your monitor off with a simple click of a button. You can download Turn Off LCD from here. After downloading, all you have to do is to run this executable file (double click on it), no installation is required. To turn on your monitor back, simply press any key on your keyboard.
Create Hotkeys or shortcuts
You can just simply double click on the tools like the one mentioned above to turn your monitor off or set up hotkeys (shortcuts) to do the same. To set up the hotkey, download any of these tools Turn Off LCD and Monitor Off Utility.

Then right click on any of these tools and choose to create a shortcut from the options. Again, right click on the shortcut file (on the home screen) open > Properties > Shortcut and enter the shortcut you intend to use in the Shortcut key text field. For example, you can choose [Ctrl]+[L] or anything similar and click ok to save the changes.
