Taiwan-based Acer has unveiled ts new Swift series of ultra-thin and lightweight notebook at the ongoing IFA 2016in Berlin, Germany. Named as Swift 7, this is the world's first laptop to measure less than 1 cm thin.
This laptop weighs at just 1.1kg and measures 0.39-inches or 9.98mm thin. With 1.1kg, the Swift 7 is in the same category as the HP Spectre, but just a bit heavier than the MacBook -- 970grams.
Durable all-aluminum uni-body!
The so-called Swift 7, comes in gold and black color with all aluminum design. Meanwhile, this laptop comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection as well. Moreover, this laptop comes with a wide touchpad certified by a Microsoft Precision touchpad.
Three times faster connection on wireless !
This thinnest laptop is powered by a 7th-Gen Intel Core i5 processor along with 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM under the hood.
Comes with Micro-bezel!
The Swift 7 laptops sports a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display with a micro-bezel on it. Moreover, it also has an HD Webcam with HDR imaging support for clear pictures.
Works on passive cooling technology!
With the employment of Kaby Lake chipset, the Swift 7 comes with a passive cooling technology as the entire device goes fanless.
Swift 7 doesn't compromise on USB Ports
Powered by Windows 10 OS out of the box, the Swift 7 comes with two USB Type-C port on board, including one used for charging, while other for headphone usage.
Impressive battery life on papers!
Talking about the battery life, the Swift 7 is expected to deliver 9 hours of battery life, which is pretty impressive. However, we cannot comment on the battery backup as it is not tested on the real time.
The Acer Swift 7 will be launched in China initially at ¥6,999 (approx Rs. 69,000) starting from September followed by Europe and U.S in October!
