Acer Predator Gaming Series launched in India: Predator 17 Laptop, Predator G6 Desktop & More!

Acer today launched a number of Predator series gaming machines in India at an event in Delhi. The 'Predator' is a flagship brand of Acer that's solely aimed at the gaming enthusiasts.

The Acer Predator Series machines including the new laptop, projector, gaming desktop, monitor will go on sale in India starting this month. The company hasn't however detailed much regarding the exact availability date and the medium of sales - offline or online. Speaking on the launch, S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India stated, "The Predator range of products delivers the performance needed for a fun, immersive and powerful gaming experience. One of the fastest growing sectors in the Indian media and entertainment industry, gaming, is an emerging segment which Acer is well equipped to dominate."

Acer Predator 15 Laptop

Acer Predator 15 is a Windows 10 powered gaming laptop boasting of a 15 inch display with a peak resolution of 3840x2160p (4K). This however is limited only to the top end model of the Predator Series of laptops. Under the hood is a 6th Intel i7 chip along with a NVidia 980M GPU.

Acer has included an option to swap the optical drive with a Cooler Master Coolpad called the Predator Frost Core during intense gaming sessions. There is also a CoolBoost technology that allows gamer to control the speed of the fan manually. Besides that, the internal hardware components of laptop enjoy an improved air circulation and dust proof environment thanks to the company's Predator DustDefender technology.

Acer Predator 17 Laptop

Acer Predator 17 is primarily a bigger version of the Predator 15 gaming laptop. Just like its smaller sibling the top end variant of the Acer Predator 17 boasts a large 17 inch display with 4K resolution. Apart from that the gaming machine is powered by the same 6th gen Intel i7 chip along with NVidia 980M GPU. Rest of the features are quite same between the two Predator series laptops.

It is worth noting that the Acer Predator line of laptops comes at a starting price of Rs 1,79,000 in India and packs a number of accessories including a Predator Headset, Mouse, Mousepad and a much touted Multi-utility backpack.

Acer Predator G6 Desktop

Apart from the laptops, Acer has launched a slew of gaming desktops in India. Dubbed the Acer Predator G6, the desktop PCs pack high end Intel i7-6700K quad core chip with each core clocked at 4GHz each. This is coupled with 64GB dual channel DDR4 SD RAM, NVidia GeForce GTX980Ti (6GB dedicated memory), 512GB SSD, 2TB HDD in high end G6 models.

Acer has also launched a number of Predator G3 series Desktop PCs in India with slightly underpowered internals. The desktops will be going on sale in India starting this April at a starting price of Rs 1,79,000.

Acer Predator X34 Gaming Monitor

As a part of its extended gaming lineup Acer has now introduced their Predator X34 Gaming Monitor with a 34 inch UW-QHD (3440x1440p) Curved Screen in India. The gaming monitor come with a IPS panel boasting of a peak brightness of 300nit and a minimum response time of 4ms. Acer has also included their trademark G-Sync technology to prevent image tearing while playing graphics intensive games at high fps.

Acer Predator Z650 Projector

Acer has now launched a new gaming projector dubbed the Predator Z650 at a price of Rs 1,29,000. The gaming projector is capable of rendering a 100" image at a distance of 1.5 meters at a native resolution of 1920x1080p. It's worth noting that 1920x1200p is the maximum resolution that is supported by the projector.

The Predator Z650 has a peak brightness of 2200 lumen along with a contrast ratio of 20,000:1. Besides that the projector comes with 3 HDMI ports, 1 USB port, 1 Composite Video port, VGA In and VGA Out port. It also comes with two 10W stereo speakers which are DTS certified for enhanced experience.
