10 hi-tech gadgets expected to launch in first week of January 2016

The year 2015 saw the launch of some brilliant devices in the tech world, and 2016 is expected to be a much more happening year in terms of the arrival of innovations, new gadgets and starry devices.

The new year is beginning with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which is an annual tech show that provides platform to the hottest tech companies to showcase their innovations and fancy new gadgets. The CES 2015 is kicking off on January 6 and will run till January 9, but most companies will announce their products on the press day which is the January 5.

CES is the first major trade event of the year and provides a sneak peak to the biggest tech products, devices and innovations lined up for the year. It becomes the launch platform for major tech companies, including smartphone makers, automobile players, gadget companies and others. So we expect most of the high end products to be unveiled at the CES. The event is yet to take off but there already are rumors and details around the upcoming devices we expect to see at CES 2016.

Here we take a look at what to expect from top companies in the first weeks of January, 2016:

Samsung:

Considering that Samsung secretly showcased the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to selected industry partners at CES 2015, it is expected that the company will reveal the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge to a few industry people. The company might as well unveil new mid-range smartphones, Tizen OS based devices, tablets, connected smart devices, and smart TVs in 4K and 8K. Besides products, Samsung will also demo its Britecell camera tech that is expected to be part of the Galaxy S7.

LG:

LG:

We expect LG to showcase the G Flex 3, which is the third generation model of its flexible display smartphone. Also, LG is likely to showcase new generation, 8K TVs with improved WebOS platform at CES 2016.

Huawei:

Huawei is all set to unveil its new gen devices at the CES 2016. While there is no confirmation on which all phones will be unveiled, it is highly likely that Huawei will showcase Mate 8 smartphones and the next generation of its smartwtach, the Watch 2. Huawei Mate 8 is speculated to feature a 6-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Kirin 950 processor, Mali T880MP4 graphics and Cat 6 4G LTE.

Sony is expected to showcase its new set of Android TVs at the forthcoming CES expo. Besides that, the company might as well unveil new range of mid-range smartphones and smart devices.

Asus:

Asus:

Asus might unveil new gen models of its much popular, affordable ZenFone series device. The company is speculated to come up with the ZenFone 3 along with a new ZenFone Zoom at the upcoming event. Also, it is expected to showcase new Transformer Book hybrid.

Lenovo:

Lenovo:

Lenovo is set to showcase the all-new ThinkPad X1 at the upcoming CES expo in Las Vegas. The X1 is the company's much powerful Windows tablet that is powered by an Intel Core m7 processor, features a 2,160 x 1,440-pixel display, and comes with USB Type-C ports, LTE support and optional 1TB hard drive.

It can be attached to modules to work like a projector that can project a 60-inch display on a nearby wall, has USB 3.0 and HDMI ports, and offer additional five hours of battery life. There is another module that has Intel RealSense 3D cameras that will let users to scan objects to be used with 3D modeling software and printers.

Lenovo will be unveiling the K4 Note smartphone in India on January 5. The company has sent out invite for the event where it will be announcing much talked about K4 Note smartphone as its new affordable flagship.

The Chinese tech company ZTE is expected to take the wraps off its much awaited Nubia Z11 smartphone that is rumored to feature a bezel-less display and run Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 820 chipset. We are not sure what exactly is laid ahead of us, however we do look forward to the upcoming ZTE devices.

HTC might announce the One M10 at CES this year. The company is also expected to showcase smart wearables at the expo.

Qualcomm:

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 820 a couple of months back, and now it is expected to be showcasing the first set of devices running the new Snapdragon 820. The company is also likely to talk about other innovations.
