5 Interesting Announcements Expected at Microsoft Developer Build 2016
Microsoft Build 2016 is about to commence later today and just like previous years the Redmond giant is expected to make a few interesting announcement at the Developer Conference.
Just to recall, the last year saw Microsoft unveil its grand plans of adding iOS and Android apps onto their new Windows 10 platform. Microsoft however started shipping their Windows 10 OS only in July. The Microsoft Developer Build 2016 will start 3.00pm IST and will take place in San Francisco.
Interactive Live Tiles for Windows 10
Reports indicate that Microsoft will unveil new Live Tiles for Windows 10. So far it is tipped that the Redmond giant will add an interactive feature to the Live Tiles that will let you respond and interact with notifications within the apps.
Previously an Interactive Live Tiles from Microsoft got leaked which showcased the company's future plans towards Tiles. These Live Tiles for apps allows users to use them directly from the start menu without opening the entire apps.

For example the Mail app now shows you a list of all e-mails with an option to respond to mails directly from the tiles itself. Apparently is appears to a mix of both worlds - Tiles of Windows and Widgets of Android.
Cortana to become more powerful than ever
Microsoft has been really working hard on Cortana and the engineers at Redmond are quite pleased at what they have achieved so far. Incidentally the makers of Windows 10 are however tipped to add more features to its Intelligent Personal Assistant at the event in San Francisco.
Cortana apparently has very little content for people residing beyond US. Take for example the Sport Content on Cortana is limited to just score from NBA teams. Very recently Cortana added support for number of regional languages in its Preview Build which is rolled onto developers and geeks.
To launch new Windows 10 Apps
Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft Corp. emphasized on their plans to expand their core Windows 10 apps cross platform to provide users a much concrete Windows experience in their smartphone. Apparently Microsoft is expected to unveil three new Windows 10 apps including Skype, Instagram and Facebook at the Build 2016.
The Redmond giant have also tweaked their Windows Store Apps from operating only in full-screen mode to support a range of devices including Laptops, PCs, Tablets and Smartphones.
Unveils Apps and Games for HoloLens
Last Build saw Redmond giant showcase their first Augmented Reality product dubbed the HoloLens. Now Microsoft is finally expected to start shipping the Headset to Developers this week, hence it is expected to make an appearance at the Developer Build.
Expect Microsoft to showcase a number of apps and games build exclusively for the HoloLens at this year's Developer Build.
Xbox uses can now play against PC/PS4
Microsoft will also unveil a new Xbox Live feature for its Xbox One users thereby allowing them play multiplayer games with PCs and PS4.
Besides that the company may also announce a few content that will support this new cross-platform gaming.
