8 Super Tech Cars that we saw at Auto Expo 2016!
The biennial flagship motor show, Auto Expo 2016 is currently underway in India. As has been the case for the past several installments of the event, we have seen some awesome cars and two-wheelers being launched by various brands, offering great features.

A big part of the past few Auto Expo occurrences have been the addition of smart technology in the products that these manufacturers deliver. Let's have a look at some of the vehicles launched at Auto Expo 2016 that incorporate some great tech and promise to pack a punch with the launches in the coming months.
Renault's super tech car at Auto Expo 2016
Renault's newest hybrid hatchback is all set to make its way to the Indian market and it has some crazy good specifications to boast too. Claiming a run of 100 km in just a single litre of fuel, the Renault Eolab Concept is one car that all Indians will be eagerly waiting for. The Eolab uses a hybrid system that has a petrol engine combined with an electric motor that enhances the mileage overall. The lightweight multi-alloyed body further helps increase the kilometer to liter ratio.

Hyundai's super tech car at Auto Expo 2016
Originally unveiled to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015, the Hyundai N 2025 GT is a concept car launched by the company at Auto Expo 2016 in India. The car has been inspired by special aeronautics and space arenas, where astronauts and engineers are trained for space travel. Incorporating a carbon-fibre monocoque body, the N2025 is extremely lightweight and also has a unique sound system that offers a surround experience that gives the complete racing car feel.

Audi's super tech car at Auto Expo 2016
The latest two-door coupe from Audi is the Prologue concept. The company claims that this car perfectly expresses the technological competence of the German brand. The front of the Prologue sports wide headlamps with Matrix laser technology for better visibility in tough lighting conditions. Another wow-inducing feature in this car is that the display and control surfaces are embedded onto the instrument panel making the interiors look like something out of Star Wars.

Toyota's super tech car at Auto Expo 2016
Given the rush of launching hybrid cars at this time's Auto Expo, in anticipation for stricter emission bans in New Delhi, Toyota also came with their version of the Corolla that has a petrol engine along with a similar electric powerhouse. Toyota claims to have set up a separate R&D division for focusing just on providing cleaner and leaner fuel options for their upcoming launches. The company maintains that hybrid technology is part of their major strategy currently.

Maruti's super tech car at Auto Expo 2016
The country's biggest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, had some nice tricks up its sleeve at Auto Expo 2016. The new Baleno, making its debut with the event, is the first car in India to have Apple CarPlay. This seems like great news for Apple mobile device owners, extending their iPhone screens to the console of the car and incorporating actions like making calls, listening to music and responding to messages, into the whole UI.
The company's very own retail brand, Nexa, also launched some exciting features for tech-savvy Maruti car owners. A dedicated mobile app was released that can be used by the customers to access the service facilities of their cars, thus creating a lifetime relationship.

Nissan's super tech car at Auto Expo 2016
Being the first fully electric car to launch in India, the Nissan X-Trail Hybrid is the electric version of their popular car, the X-Trail. Boasting powerful specs under the hood, the X-Trail Hybrid also has some great onboard technology that helps give the most optimum level of performance when it comes to user experience.
Incorporating Nissan's patented Intelligent Dual Clutch Control (IDCC) feature, the X-Trail knows what mix of the 2.0L petrol engine and the additional electric motor is perfect for providing maximum fluidity on different terrains.

Mercedes's super tech car at Auto Expo 2016
What car launch is complete without some fine German mechanics? Mercedes launched many new models this time around but the GLC 4Matic was one that stood out the most. Novus self-driving shuttle vechicle
Finishing off this list is something out of the box, literally. The Novus Drive is a driverless shuttle that isn't part of any fancy stalls. In fact, this is a Indian government initiative and was tested first at Auto Expo 2016, for carrying visitors to and from the event gates. Sporting 3D LiDAR sensors and GPS mapping software, the Novus-Drive is a fully-automatic self-driving vehicle, a first for India.
This vehicle has been manufactured initially for commuting in a controlled atmosphere and is best suited for intra-campus travel, office arenas, health care communities, trade fairs and theme parks.
