With more and more users now watching videos, browsing the web on their smartphones, it is hard to get enough juice even with an extra backup. Battery life is a major concern for the smartphone owners these days.
Charge your battery with green energy!
Many smartphone companies and other companies have come up with various technologies including Solar charger, wireless charger, battery pack. However as the device that stores energy is not advanced, the issue keeps on persisting. On the other hand, some other companies are coming up with sustainable green energy, through harvesting solar energy.
What is Bioo Lite?
One such venture is the crowdfunded Indiegogo project, where the users smartphones and tablets can be charged with green solar power. A pot plant named as "Bioo Lite", utilizes the plant's organic component ousted after photosynthesis to make power, which is then passed on to our device for charging via USB cable present inside it.
Is it a game changer?
The Indiegogo page claims that the plant pot can hold 2-to-3 full charges per day. This energy, which is created will keep itself working without any further external treatments. Moreover, the system is able to take the energy produced in the soil surrounding the roots of the plant and transfer it as electricity using its leading and efficient process.
It is Eco-friendly!
As indicated, the Bioo is equipped with its own sealed water tank, creating a high efficiency in water management, which allows users to save up to 6-8 litres of water. Also, it comes with 100x100x25cm panels from which plants will be able to grow to produce from 3 to over 40 watts depending on the plant type and maintenance.
