Google Babble: Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Might Integrate New Messaging Service
Last week, leaked shots of an alleged new service from Google, dubbed as Google Babble surfaced on the internet. There have been rumors that Google Bable will unify the company's messaging platforms into a single service. Now, there is news that the new service might come integrated with the search giant's upcoming Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Android geeks reported the a source close to the team working on Google Bable has confirmed that the new service will infact come integrated with Google's new mobile operating system, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. The new platform is expected to make debut at the Google I/O event, that is said to happen in May.
Google currently offers the fallowing communication platforms
Google Talk which is is an instant messaging service that provides both text and voice communication. Google Talk web app was previously available for Android, but was later discontinued. However, Native native Android version of the app still exists
Google Hangout allows users to video chat, but requires Google + account to do so. Google + is a social network, similar to Facebook developed by Google.
Google Voice is VoiP service which allows users to make free PC to PC calls and send free text messages.
Google also throws in Drive Chat option with Google Drive, which allows users to share files.
Google Bable is said to combine chat, video call and file sharing capabilities offered by separate services into a single single unified service. Indeed the service will make things, a lot simpler.
