Acer Liquid E1, Z2: Two Jeweled Android Handsets Set for Release in March 2013

Acer might not be doing so well in the smartphone category, but the Taiwanese is optimistic about its future. The makers behind the Acer Iconia B1 tablet are reportedly prepping to launch two new handsets this month.

One of them i.e. Acer Liquid E1 will likely to be launched in Taiwan. The christened handset was shown earlier this year at MWC 2013. Even U.K -based retailer Expansys has listed the device for 174.99 GBP (Rs. 14,440). The Android powered handset is expected to roll out in the following countries: France, Italy, Belgium, Russia, Ukraine and Netherlands

As per buzz, Acer is also planning to launch the Liquid Z2, a dual SIM Android handset with 3.5-inch display, later this month. As of now, Acer hasn't come out in open to announce the two cherished handsets in India. GizBot will update you on this in the coming days.

Acer Liquid E1 - Specifications and features

The Acer Liquid E1 is a mid-to-high end Android smartphone. The device has a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960 X540 pixels, 1GB of RAM, 1GHz dual core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 4GB of internal memory which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB), 3G, Wi-Fi, 5-mega pixels rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA quality front facing camera, GPS, DTS, and 1,760mAh battery life. The handset will first arrive in Taiwan at an estimated price of Rs. 16,700.

Acer Liquid Z2- Specifications and features

Another handset that is ready to enthrall consumers is the Acer Liquid Z2. The device is rather low on specifications side. The Acer Liquid Z2 comes with a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 320 X 480 pixels, 1GHz single core processor, 512MB of RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 3G, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, a 5-mega pixels shooter on the back , and 1,300mAh battery fitted inside. No pricing were indicated by the folks over at Acer.

Acer is not the crème smartphone vendor out there in the market. But the above mentioned handsets could do wonders. If Acer priced these Android jewels right then surely the Taiwanese giant has a chance to succeed in the near future.
