Alcatel One Touch Idol, Ultra: Slimmest and Lightest Android 4.1 Handsets Launched in India

Recently, Alcatel One Touch, the renowned smartphone brand of TCL Communications has added two more smartphones to its basket of offerings. Dubbed as Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra and Alcatel OneTouch Idol, the company is flaunting both the smartphone's USP as slimmest and lightest Android smartphones in the country right now.

Priced at Rs 21,000 and Rs 15,800, Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra and Alcatel OneTouch Idol will be available in the market along with special introductory offer via India's leading telecom operator Idea. According to the company's press release Alcatel has tied up with Idea and the buyers of the smartphones would get 1GB of 3G data and 3 months of Idea TV subscription to the pre-paid customers after a recharge of Rs. 261 on prepaid. Further, the post-paid subscribers will get the same offer at a cost of Rs. 259.

Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra - Key Specs

Claimed by the company to be slimmest phone Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra features a slender 6.45mm chassis along with 4.7-inch HD 720×1280 pixels screen with AMOLED 16M color and a Oleophobic Coating to keep the screen fingerprint resistant. Further the handset will come packed with 8MP camera, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM16 GB internal storage, no expandable memory, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 1800mAh battery and Android 4.1 OS (Jelly Bean). Priced at Rs. 21,000, Idol ultra is available in vibrant color options of black and red, to choose from.

Alcatel One Touch Idol - Key Specs

Touted as the lightweight handset, Alcatel OneTouch Idol dimensions boast a thickness of 7.9mm and a weight of 110 grams.

Further, the handset will come with the same oleophobic coating offering fingerprint resistance, Android OS, v4.1 (Jelly Bean), 1 GHz Dual-core processor, 8MP camera, 2-megapixel front camera, 1800mAh battery, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage for Single SIM version, 13.3GB for dual-SIM version; expandable up to 32GB. Holding a price tag of Rs. 15,800, Alcatel One Touch Idol is available in Silver, Slate, Cranberry Pink and Red colour options.

Do expect a dual SIM version of One Touch Idol to hit the market really soon.
