Alcatel OneTouch Fire C Launched in India At Rs 1,990: Top 5 Low-End Rivals

After Spice and Intex, that launched their first Firefox smartphone in India a month ago, now Alcatel OneTouch has launched one. Coming dubbed as Onetouch Fire C, the new phone comes with a Firefox OS.

Introduced earlier this year at the MWC 2014, the phone will exclusively be available from online retailer Flipkart. Spice and Intex launched their budget Firefox OS smartphones recently. The Alcatel OneTouch Fire C comes in Blueish Black and Dark Chocolate colors and is priced at Rs. 1,990.

Alcatel OneTouch Fire C: Key Specifications

The Alcatel OneTouch Fire C sports a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) HVGA display. It is powered by a 1 GHz Spreadtrum 6821 Processor coupled with 128 MB of RAM and runs on Firefox OS 1.3.

The smartphone houses 256 MB internal memory of which only 65 MB is user accessible. However, you will get a memory expansion support up to 32GB via microSD slot.

The device only has a 1.3MP rear camera and lacks a front facing shooter. Connectivity options include 2G (EDGE), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and it is Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) phone. It is powered by a 1000 mAh battery.

If you are not aware, the Firefox OS is based on HTML5, has Adaptive App Search or the Single Window Search and comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter and more apps. It also has Firefox marketplace to download more apps. It supports Indian languages like English, Bangla, Tamil and Hindi.

The new Firefox platform could be in a nascent phase, but it sure has a potential to take down the feature phone market.

Spice Fire One Mi - FX 1 comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen offering a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1 GHz Processor and an unannounced RAM clock. The entry level phone comes with 1.3MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front-facing snapper, Dual SIM (2G + 2G) support, 2G (EDGE), Wi-Fi, and a Bluetooth. Another important aspect of the phone is that it supports Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil and Bangla.

Spec-wise, the Intex Cloud FX features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixel) display. It is powered by a 1GHz processor coupled with 128MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM.

The phone also features a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, and there's no built-in front facing shooter. Other connectivity options are standard, notably, 2G, Wi-Fi, FM Radio and more. The makers have also added a 1250mAh batter fitted inside.

The Micromax Bolt A065 comes with a 4.0 Inch display offering a resolution of 480x800 pixels. It runs on Android v4.4.2 (KitKat) and is powered by a Dual core 1300 MHz processor.

Other specs include 2 MP Primary Camera, 0.3 MP Secondary, Dual SIM, WiFi, 4 GB Internal Memory, 512 MB RAM, and 2000 mAh, Li-Ion battery.

The Videocon V Style Smart sports a 3.5 Inch LCD display with 320x480 px resolution, Android v2.3.5 (Gingerbread), 1000 MHz processor, 1.3 MP Primary Camera, Dual SIM, WiFi, 256 MB Internal Memory, Expandable up to 16 GB, 128 MB RAM, 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery.

 

Price: Rs. 3,583

The Karbonn A1 Plus Super comes with a 3.5 Inch LCD display offering a resolution of 320x480pixels. Other specs include Android v4.4 (KitKat), Dual core 1300 MHz processor, 3 MP Primary Camera, 0.3 MP Secondary, Dual SIM, WiFi, 512 MB Internal Memory, Expandable up to 32 GB, 256 MB RAM, and 1250 mAh Li-Ion battery.
