Amazon Glasses Free 3D Display Smartphone Coming To Dent Apple And Samsung Market
Amazon's hardware ambitions are known to all. After making slash with Kindle range of E-Book readers, and the Kindle Fire tablets - here comes the smartphone's first report. Yes, in real the Seattle -based online shopping site is prepping smartphone for release later this year.
The company could announce two handset models: one of those will be a 3D display equipped Kindle Fire handset while the exact details of the other handset are yet to arrive. A 3D display technology used in mobile devices isn't new, as LG and HTC have tried it from their respective side. The report came from the Wall Street Journal, and it's pretty much gives an overview about what Amazon is cooking.

"One of the devices is a high-end smartphone featuring a screen that allows for three-dimensional images without glasses, these people said. Using retina-tracking technology, images on the smartphone would seem to float above the screen like a hologram and appear three-dimensional at all angles, they said. Users may be able to navigate through content using just their eyes, two of the people said." as mentioned in the report by WSJ.
The eye tracking thing is getting popular with the Samsung Galaxy S4 device. So, Amazon's big device getting same treatment is no different. The 3D-display capable handset is currently in Prototype mode.
Amazon also plans to jump into Set-of -box business, an audio streaming device. Qualcomm is ready to supply chips for the 4G LTE enabled devices.
US based online shopping giant has succeeded with its hardware plans. The company holds a 3.7 per cent market share worldwide in the global tablet tally. The tech vendor has started looking to India as a serious place to business. It is said that the company has tied up with Redington India, as a lead distributor to supply Kindle readers as well as Kindle Fire tablets in India.
