Android 4.0.4 ICS Update: Lava Xolo X900 Official Upgrade Starts Rolling Out from Today

It is evident that Intel the chip maker is slowly penetrating into the smartphone arena with its Atom processor based handsets as Motorola unveiled the Razr i smartphone using the Intel inside technology in September.

The first company to make use of the Intel Atom processor for its smartphone is Lava by unveiling Xolo X900 based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in February.

Earlier, the India based handset vendor promised that the handset will be receiving the Android 4.0 ICS update within a few weeks of its release, however, the roll out was delayed.

Finally, Lava has come up with the ICS roll out for the Xolo X900 smartphone. The Facebook page of Xolo claims that the OTA (over-the-air) update for the same with a download size of 222MB is available.

Moreover, the Xolo 900 is equipped with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor, 8 MP primary camera, 1.3MP secondary camera, NFC, 3G, Bluetooth connectivity features, 16 GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and 1,460 mAh.

Lava Xolo 900 was initially priced at Rs 22,000 and recently received a price drop to Rs 17,500.
