AOC Will Be Launching Its First Smartphone in India This Month

One of the popular LED and LCD makers AOC has today announced that it will soon launch a smartphone in India. Previously, the company appointed Atul Jasra as Business Head for tablets and smartphones in India & other SAARC Countries.

Via a Twitter, today the company has confirmed that it would launch its new smartphone in India later this week. It has also launched a Twitter campaign, where people can bring the launch date closer by tweeting with the hashtag #Myaocmobile.'

At the moment, the company has fixed the date for November 15th for the unveiling, at least that is what you will see on the official company site.

Commenting on new smartphone and the twitter campaign, Atul Jasra-Business Head, Mobile Phones & Tablets reportedly said, "Through this unique campaign, we are giving an opportunity to the customer to decide on the date of the launch. Since social media has increasing become the go to platform for companies to interact directly with the customers, we decided to use Twitter as part of our engagement drive."

He further added, "We hope to generate lot of excitement and interest regarding AOC's wide range of smart phones and tablets, which will be yet another quality product with wide range of apps and customer friendly features."

It is not sure, what the new smartphone will look like and it is still under opaque wraps. Thus, there are no clues to what the new smartphone from AOC will be capable of doing and its hardware and software composition. However, according to earlier reports it'll be a 6-inch phablet. Apart from that, there are not a single hint to what the device will be called or when it will be available.
