The talk is about Nokia Lumia 920, which was unwrapped last week by Finnish company along with software giant Microsoft Inc.
After the launch of iPhone 5 many tech experts think that Nokia Lumia 920 has the X factor to actually challenge and beat iPhone 5 in the smarphone war of 2012. Hence, to spice up this battle a little bit, here is a spec comparison between Lumia 920 and iPhone 5 to see which of the two smartphone is the winner after all.
Display: When it comes to the display, iPhone 5 packs a larger 4 inch LED-backlit IPS capacitive touchscreen display with 1136 x 640 pixel resolution and 326 ppi pixel density approximately.
In comparison, Lumia 920 houses a 4.5 inch IPS display with PureMotion HD+ technology. The capacitive touchscreen display has 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and 332 ppi pixel density approximately.
Dimension: While iPhone 5 carries a dimension of 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm and weighs around 112 grams, Lumia 920 boasts a measurement of 130.3 x 70.8 x 10.7 mm and weighs in at 185 grams.
Processor: iPhone is equipped with the new Apple A6 processor while Lumia 920 is equipped with a dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor.

Operating System: This is the most important and contrasting segment of the comparison as the iPhone 5 is based on the latest iOS 6 mobile OS and Lumioa 920 is based on the upcoming Windows Phone 8 OS.
iOS 6, the latest iteration of the Apple's mobile OS is claimed to have over 200 new features including Apple Maps, enhanced Siri voice assistant, new Safari app, iCloud cloud storage, Photostream app for easier photo sharing, PassBook app, in depth integration with Twitter and Facebook and more.
On the other hand, Windows Phone 8 has improved features like dynamic Live Tile Information, social network integration in the People hub, Skydrive and Office 365 documents synchronization, Facebook-events integrated calendar, visual voicemail, threaded email conversations support and many more.
Camera: On the camera optics front, iPhone 5 has an 8MP iSight camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection features, which is loaded with special aspects including backside illumination, hybrid IR filter, HDR, five-element lens, f/2.4 aperture, spatial noise reduction, dynamic low-light mode and faster photo capture.
On the other hand, Lumia 920 has a better 8.7MP rear camera with LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging and more importantly the PureView camera techbology.
Further, iPhone 5 has a 1.3MP front camera while Lumia 920 has a 1.2MP camera for video calling.

Storage: iPhone 5 comes in three configurations – 16GB/32GB/64GB, each with 1GB RAM. On the other hand, Lumia 920 packs an internal memory of 32GB internal memory and 1GB RAM.
However, both the handsets lack an external micro SD card slot for expandable memory support.
Connectivity: On the connectivity front, iPhone 5 has features like DC-HSDPA 42Mbps, HSDPA 21Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Plus Cellular, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and micro USB 2.0.
In comparison, Lumia 920 has such as HSDPA, HSUPA, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth with A2DP and EDR, micro USB 2.0 and USB on the go.

Battery: As claimed by Apple, iPhone 5 is loaded with a Li-Po battery, which provides up to 225 hours standby and 8 hours talk time while Lumia 920 has a 2,000 mAh Li-ion battery offering 10 hours talk time and 400 hours standby.

Well , it is quite obvious with the comparison, that both the devices do not have much difference, so the choice would definitely be based on the OS ecosystem. Also, Nokia Lumia 920 has come up with some really exciting accessories, when compared to the newly launched accessories by Apple along with iPhone 5.
