If the launch of the previous generation iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C is anything to go by, Apple's forthcoming iPhone 6 will likely make its debut sometime in September of this year. However, some rumors suggest the device to land in August, a month earlier than predicted launch.
The highly-awaited iPhone 6 might get released on September 19, according to a report out of Germany. Deutsche Telekom has been reportedly telling its customers that the iPhone 6 will hit the retail stores on Friday, September 19.
Although Apple has not made a single statement around the iPhone 6 release date so far, Germany-based Deutsche Telekom reportedly instructed its call center representatives to tell customers that the much hyped iPhone 6 will be made available starting September 19, Apfelpage.de, a Germany-based website reported.
Apple usually launches new iPhone models on Friday, and this year, Sept. 19 falls on that day of the week. Last year, the existing iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c went on sale on Sept. 20.
If Apple sticks with its recent release schedule strategy, the company will unveil iOS 8 at its keynote presentation next Monday ( June 2), while the anticipated "iPhone 6" will be announced in September, about a week and a half before the product will go on sale, according to Apple Insider.
In the meantime, Macfixit Australia has obtained the back cover for the purported 4.7-inch iPhone 6. While there is no way to confirm the shell's authenticity, it does match many of the mockups that we've seen and has the distinct antenna breaks on the top and bottom as well as a circular cutout for the LED flash.
Apple is rumored to bring two iPhone models this fall: one with a 4.7-inch display and the other with a 5.5-inch screen. The 4.7-inch iPhone might get released in September of this year. Apple iPhone 6 Tipped To Arrive in September
