Apple's iPhone 6 is yet to become official on September 9, but it has already leaked several times in the yesteryear. Therefore, the techies around the globe have been basically aware of the partial information regarding the hardware elements of the device.
Anyways, however again the smartphone has been leaked online and this time round, it touts the 4.7-inch display and a rounded edges, which we have already experienced in the yesteryear. Moreover, the leaked image also demonstrates the software aspect of the device. The display which is switched on shows iOS 8 lock screen, confirming the OS version.
The latest image leak also highlights the rear panel of the handset revealing the camera, LED flash and a microphone sitting on the top left edge.
Design-wise the iPhone 6 is completely different from the previous ones with an edgy sides and squarish frame. However, it does somehow show the adaptation of the design language of the fifth-generation iPod touch.
Thus far the previous leaks suggest that the device will come in two variants viz. the iPhone 6 with 4.7-inch display and the larger model called iPhone 6L which will measure 5.5-inches big. Both these devices are supposed to come with a the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and NFC support. As far as the CPU is concerned, Apple will be utilizing the new Apple A8 SoC to power up these upcoming handsets.
It is expected that the 4.7-inch model will feature an IPS LCD display providing a resolution of 960 x 1704 pixel while it would likewise receive a 2GB of RAM and dual-core 2GHz 64-bit processor inside the Apple A8 chipset. Apple is expected to also announce a 128GB storage option for the phone.
On the other hand, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 would come with a sapphire display and would measure around 158 x 77 x 7 mm, while the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 would measure 138 x 67 x 6.9 mm.
Regarding the availability of the handset, the iPhone 6 is said to hit the shelves by September 19. Pricing of the devices has not been talked about thus far, but certainly it would be a pricy bit of hardware to buy.
