The Cupertino-based tech giant could be planning to launch iPhone Lite in two versions. In a report by Phone Arena, Apple is said to be working on two similar looking affordable iPhone models. One of the handsets is codenamed "iPhone Zenvo", while the other version is currently named "iPhone Zagato/Bertone".
The iPhone Zenvo is speculated to be more affordable considering it will be powered by Samsung made processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. In the name of connectivity, FDD 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.0 are said to be found inside.
On the other hand, the iPhone Zagato is said to be a bit pricy than Zenvo. The phone will arrive with TDD 4G LTE and ‘H6P' processor.
Further, the report also mentioned about design of iPhone Lite via an alleged leaked image from China. These above versions of iPhone Lite may be released out of China, especially in markets like India and Latin America(another rumor).
Well, India supports TDD 4G LTE network, and you never know Apple could announce " iPhone Zagato" here sometime in December. Rumors say that LG is planning to launch TDD 4G LTE smartphone in the Indian market this year. Many of us believe that the Apple iPhone Lite will be affordable on pocket. But in reality , as speculated Apple won't sell the device for cheap. Industry insiders claim that the so-called affordable iPhone, is targeted at first time iPhone buyers. The phone is said to be a mid -range affair with plastic chassis and Qualcomm processor inside. This could be another part of the story, but for sure the low cost iPhone will be made of plastic.
A regular behind Apple leaks - Sonny Dickson, had shared details regarding the pricing model , Apple would like adopt when it comes to iPhone Lite . The range should start around $349 (Rs.20, 715) for 16GB version and goes up to $549 (Rs. 32,585) for 64GB version. Stay tuned to GizBot.
