The Apple Mini made a decent impact on users worldwide. The biggest drawback with first generation is that the display is underpowered in comparison to competitors. After the launch of Asus Nexus 7 2, Apple has no choice except to announce the iPad Mini 2 with Retina Display.

The design will likely to be unchanged. Moreover, it is suspected that Apple would not be able to deliver iPad Mini 2 enough during crucial holiday season due to production issues. It is known whether Apple would be making any announcement around the iPad Mini 2. The device is expected to get similar internal hardware as the iPad 5. The 7.9-inch Retina Display tablet will be powered by iOS 7.
