Apple to Launch 4.8 Inch 'iPhone Math' Handset Alongside Next-Gen iPhone 5S in June 2013 [REPORT]
As the demand for smartphones is ever growing, leading tech companies that were holding back have started trying to grab a significant portion of the lucrative market, Apple being one of them. Analysts are anticipating that the Cupertino-based tech giant is now attempting Samsung strategies to penetrate steep shares in the market this year by launching an array of devices.
This can be said, as according to the latest report by China Times translated by BrightWire, Apple is all geared up to announce three new iPhone models in 2013. Two of them including the 4-inch iPhone 5S and 4.8-inch iPhone Math (both featuring 8-mega-pixel cameras), will hit markets before the end of June.
Further, reportedly it has also been claimed that a third model touting 12-megapixel camera will debut before Christmas, however, not much is known about the device specs and other details at this point of time. "The shipments for components, including touchscreens and cameras, will start rising significantly in March, and iPhone manufacturers will begin production in late April. Hence, Apple's suppliers will see major growth in 2Q 2013," said the report.
Adding on to the details, the report also suggested that Apple might also launch a budget handset in 2013, however, it is unclear right now where the talk is about iPhone Math or some other handset in the pipeline. But the report has revealed that "Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd. will undertake 90% of the manufacturing orders, and Largan has received orders for 8 million camera lenses. Fujikura, Flexium and Zhen Ding will share production orders for printed circuit boards."
While, "Foxconn Technology and Coxon will provide molding parts for Apple's new models; Foxlink will continue to offer connectors; Hon Hai Precision's Microelectronics Technology will start designing 4G network solutions for Apple," added the report.
On the other end, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo came up with a report stating that Apple as rumored will launch iPhone 5S and a redesigned and cheaper variant of iPhone 5, which is budget oriented in June or July 2013. He added that the iPhone 5S will resemble the iPhone 5, but will allegedly feature some upgrades including fingerprint sensor, improved camera with smart LED flash and more importantly - A7 chip.
Concluding with the inputs from the latest report, it has also informed that Apple will launch iTV before the end of 2013, and the company is set to unveil seven to eight new products in the year.
