Archos Unveils Tablets and Smartphones Slated to Launch At IFA 2013
Since IFA, Berlin ignited the sparks among a lot of mobile phone manufacturers and now French Consumer Electronics brand Archos has already startled the tech world by announcing a number of devices that includes smartphones and tablets. However, the company further says that all the devices will be seen in their full glory in the IFA Berlin, Trade Fair in early September.
However, here is a brief rundown on the specs of the devices that has been unveiled recently.
Archos 50 Oxygen
The Archos 50 Oxygen will have a full 1080p display but sadly the company has not revealed the display size of the device. It will be powered by a quad-core processor clocked to 1.5 GHz and will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Talking about camera, the device will come packed with a premium 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front facing shooter. It would come with 16GB of internal storage. Other than that, the company has not disclosed any other information regarding the Display size, RAM, Battery, Chips, etc.
Titanium range
However, the new Titanium range of smartphones would have a 4-inch display, dual-SIM support, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3 MP front camera, dual-core processor and would run on Android 4.2 OS. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and GPS. The Titanium range as per the company would stat selling at 99 Euros (approx. Rs. 8590.88).
Archos 97b Platinum tablets
According to Archos, 97b Platinum tablet is a direct competitor to the iPad 4. The tablet comes with a 9.7-inch display offering a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and it will be clad with aluminum body.
Another Archos 101xs2 would have a HD IPS screen, stereo speakers on the front and a magnetically attached keyboard. Both Archos 97b and the 101xs2 would be powered by quad-core processors and will run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.
Archos Xenon Range Tablets
Archos will also release 3 new tablets in the Xenon range. All devices in this range would come with features like HD screens, 3G and 3G HSPA+ connectivity, quad-core processors and Android 4.2.
Archos ChildPad tablets
ChildPad tablets with built in game controls would come in a two variants- one with 8 inch and another with 10.1 inch display. Both the devices would run on Android 4.2 and Play Store filtered for kid-friendly content.
Sadly, not all specs of the devices have been disclosed by Archos. However the French manufacturer promises to reveal more details about the smartphones and tablets at the IFA 2013 in Berlin, that starts on September 6th.
